Stacy London and Clinton Kelly reunite for a fresh take on fashion
A new era of style on Amazon Prime Video
Fashion enthusiasts, rejoice! The dynamic duo of Stacy London and Clinton Kelly are back together, bringing their unique flair to a brand-new reality show on Amazon Prime Video. Titled “Wear Whatever the F You Want”, this series promises to be a refreshing departure from their previous work on “What Not to Wear.”
Embracing change and individuality
It’s been over a decade since London and Kelly last co-hosted a show, and much has changed in the world of fashion and beyond. Reflecting on this evolution, the pair shared their excitement about the new project: “The world has changed a lot since the run of ‘What Not to Wear,’ and, thankfully, so have we. These days, we have zero interest in telling people what to do, based on society’s norms—because there are no more norms!”
Their new show aims to celebrate individual style rather than prescribe it. “Style is still an important form of communication, and we’re excited to show new clients how to align their personal messaging with their life goals. It’s time to celebrate individual style, not prescribe it,” they added.
The journey of a lifetime
“Wear Whatever the F You Want” is described as a style transformation show. Over the course of a few days, London and Kelly will empower each client to live out their fashion fantasy and discover their style truth. The official description promises a journey of a lifetime, filled with personal growth and self-expression.
A reunion worth the wait
Lauren Anderson, head of brand and content innovation for Amazon MGM Studios, expressed her enthusiasm for the reunion: “Since Clinton and Stacy first appeared on television, they have remained at the forefront of showing us how to use fashion as a means of self-empowerment. Their playful banter and distinct approach have helped instill confidence in viewers for almost two decades.”
With the efforts of Bright Spot Content and the expert guidance of Jenny Falkoff, this long-awaited reunion has become a reality. Anderson added, “Together, Stacy and Clinton bring a fresh, fun, and meaningful new series to Prime Video customers, filled with expertise and inspiration; chemistry and warmth; and, of course, their signature, enviable style.”
Behind the scenes
Both Clinton and Kelly serve as executive producers on the series, alongside Sandy Varo Jarrell, Suzanne Rauscher, Justin Rae Barnes, and Janelle Couture. Barnes will also take on the role of showrunner. The series is produced by All3Media’s Bright Spot Content and Amazon MGM Studios.
A look back at “What Not to Wear”
For those who may not be familiar, “What Not to Wear” originally aired for 10 seasons on TLC, wrapping up its run in 2013. The show was a cultural phenomenon, helping countless individuals transform their wardrobes and boost their confidence. Despite a public falling out following the show’s conclusion, London and Kelly reunited in 2023 for a nationwide stage tour dubbed “The Stacy & Clinton Show”.
Personal reflections
As a long-time fan of both Stacy London and Clinton Kelly, I couldn’t be more thrilled about their return to television. Their chemistry and expertise have always been a source of inspiration, and I can’t wait to see how they bring their evolved perspectives to this new series. The concept of celebrating individual style resonates deeply in today’s world, where self-expression is more important than ever.
