Prime Video has officially announced the global premiere date for “Citadel: Honey Bunny”, the Indian installment of the expansive “Citadel” franchise. This highly anticipated series stars Varun Dhawan and Samantha in the lead roles, promising a unique blend of action, drama, and romance.

Directed by the dynamic duo Raj & DK (Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K.) and penned by Sita R. Menon along with Raj & DK, “Citadel: Honey Bunny” is a collaborative effort produced by D2R Films and Amazon MGM Studios. The series also boasts executive production by the Russo Brothers’ AGBO, with Anthony Russo, Joe Russo, Angela Russo-Otstot, and Scott Nemes at the helm. David Weil, known for his work on “Hunters,” also joins the executive production team, alongside Midnight Radio.

Fans of Raj & DK’s previous work will recognize Samantha from her role in Season 2 of “The Family Man”, and Menon from his crucial role in “Farzi”, both Prime Video series. Expanding the ‘Citadel’ universe

“Citadel: Honey Bunny” follows the Italian series “Citadel: Diana”, which premiered on October 10. The original “Citadel” series, starring Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas, debuted in 2023 and has already garnered a significant following. A second season of the original series is set to begin production this year, with Joe Russo directing.
