Al B. Sure! calls for investigation into Kim Porter’s death, alleging conspiracy
A deeper look into the claims surrounding Kim Porter’s passing
In a recent series of Instagram posts, Al B. Sure!—whose real name is Albert Joseph Brown—has reignited discussions about the 2018 death of model-turned-actress Kim Porter. Brown, a prominent figure in the new jack swing music scene, has made bold claims suggesting that Porter’s death was not due to natural causes but rather a result of a vast conspiracy. This comes in the wake of the arrest of Sean ”Diddy” Combs, Porter’s on-and-off partner, on federal trafficking and RICO charges.
Allegations of a cover-up
Brown’s posts, which include images of himself with Porter and excerpts from her unpublished memoir, describe her death as a “tragic murder.” He alleges that Porter was on the verge of exposing significant information, similar to what Cassie Ventura recently revealed, which led to her untimely demise. According to Brown, Porter was determined to publish a memoir that contained explosive details, but her efforts were thwarted by those around her.
“In a nutshell, Kimberly was allegedly taken from us because she was set on course to accomplish what Mrs. Cassie Ventura did by igniting the Bon Fire [sic] which brings us here today,” Brown wrote.
The call for an investigation
Brown is urging authorities to investigate everyone who was present at Porter’s home around the time of her death, particularly publicists. He accuses them of conspiring to prevent the publication of Porter’s book by swapping out pages of her manuscript. Brown claims that he learned about the contents of Porter’s memoir through ”frequent and intimate conversations” with her, aimed at saving his life.
He also alleges that his attempts to expose the truth have been ignored by authorities for years. Brown recounts a harrowing experience in 2023 when he fell into a coma after being intubated while hospitalized for multiple illnesses. He survived after receiving a liver transplant, describing the ordeal as “multiple system organ failure, septic, intubated, on a ventilator for 38 days, and forced to visit death’s doorstep.”
The circumstances of Porter’s death
Porter was found dead in her Toluca Lake, California home in 2018 after experiencing flu-like symptoms for several days. Initially, the coroner listed her cause of death as “deferred” but later changed it to lobar pneumonia. Porter had a complex relationship with Diddy, dating him sporadically through 2017. They shared three children—Christian Combs and twins D’Lila and Jessie Combs. Porter also had a son, Quincy Brown, with Al B. Sure!.
Missing devices and alleged evidence
In his Instagram posts, Brown mentions allegedly stolen notes intended for Porter’s memoir and claims that her devices, including a computer, have disappeared. He suggests that these devices contain critical evidence that has been concealed. Brown’s references to Ventura and a “recently released public indictment document” imply that Diddy may be involved in Porter’s death to silence certain details in her memoir.
“Ms. Porter’s missing devices, allegedly already in evidence, unquestionably contain the critical evidence that have been concealed. I’m convinced that evidence corroborates closely with details outlined in the recently released public indictment document,” Brown wrote.
Industry implications
Brown’s allegations extend beyond Porter, hinting at a broader conspiracy within the entertainment industry. He cryptically notes that “many were bewildered” but suggests that industry insiders should “have a clearer understanding of the obvious.”
An email sent to Combs Global seeking comment from a representative for the jailed mogul did not immediately receive a reply. Diddy has now been in custody for a week following his arrest on federal trafficking and RICO charges.
