HBO has introduced the trailer for Seth Meyers’ debut stand-up special, “Dead Man Walking,” set to premiere on October 26 on both HBO and Max. This special marks Meyers’ first foray into stand-up comedy for the network, showcasing his sharp wit and observational humor.
Meyers, known for his impeccable timing and satire, shifts the spotlight to his personal life in this special. From the chaos of raising three young children to the intricacies of marital communication and the proper protocols for crossing streets in New York City, Meyers delivers a mix of laughs and relatable moments. The special, aptly dubbed “Dad Man Walking,” was recorded at The Vic Theatre in Chicago. Neal Brennan directs this venture, with Meyers, Mike Shoemaker, Tim Sarkes, and John Irwin serving as executive producers. Chelsea Alonzi also joins as a producer.

American Dad! is back for more laughter
The beloved animated sitcom “American Dad!” returns to TBS on October 28 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. The show continues to follow CIA agent Stan Smith and his unconventional family through their wild adventures in Langley Falls, Virginia. This season, expect a myriad of challenges—from a nightmarish attempt at climbing Mount Everest to the reopening of the Langley Falls boardwalk. There’s also Roger battling a mysterious illness and Klaus facing an imposter.

Star-studded action series ‘Man on Fire’
Netflix has announced an exciting cast lineup for its upcoming action series, ‘Man on Fire.’ Inspired by A.J. Quinnell’s book, the series follows Creasy, a former Special Forces mercenary who battles PTSD and returns to action to protect a young girl.
The cast includes Alice Braga, recognized for her roles in “City of God” and “Suicide Squad,” as Valeria Melo, a professional driver connected to a local gang. Scoot McNairy, known for “Nightbitch” and “A Complete Unknown,” will portray Henry Tappan, a CIA field agent in Brazil. Paul Ben-Victor, celebrated for “The Wire” and “Pam & Tommy,” will take on the role of CIA Director Moncrief.
Previously announced cast members include Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as John Creasy, Billie Boullet as Poe Rayburn, and Bobby Cannavale as Paul Rayburn. The series aims to captivate viewers with its intense action sequences, deep character development, and gripping narrative.
Showrunner and executive producer Kyle Killen, known for “Halo” and “Awake,” leads the eight-episode series, while Steven Caple Jr., the director behind “Transformers: Rise of the Beasts” and “Creed II,” will bring his vision to the production.
