Jax Media welcomes Yolanda T. Cochran as new head of production
A new chapter for Jax Media
Jax Media, a subsidiary of Imagine Entertainment, has announced the appointment of Yolanda T. Cochran as their new head of production. With a career spanning over 25 years in the film and television industry, Cochran brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her new role.
Leading the charge
In her new position, Cochran will be responsible for overseeing the sales, strategy, and execution of Jax Media’s production services. Additionally, she will provide production support and consultation to Imagine Entertainment’s scripted divisions, advising on various film and television productions across multiple formats and genres. Cochran steps into the role previously held by Jake Fuller, who is transitioning to focus on independent production in golf and sports content.

A seasoned professional
Cochran’s impressive resume includes roles such as senior VP of production for Viacom CBS Kids & Family, VP of production at Freeform, and executive VP of physical production at Alcon Entertainment. Her production credits are extensive and include notable projects like “Gray Matter,” “Point Break,” “Dolphin Tale” and its sequel, “Transcendence,” “Beautiful Creatures,” “The Book of Eli,” “The Blind Side,” and “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” and its sequel.
A diverse portfolio
Cochran has also overseen a variety of television projects, including “The Bold Type,” “Siren,” “Motherland: Fort Salem,” the “iCarly” reboot, and the resurgence of “Nick News.” She has launched new series such as Netflix’s “That Girl Lay Lay,” “NFL Slimetime,” and “Good Trouble.” Her extensive experience and diverse portfolio make her a valuable asset to Jax Media and Imagine Entertainment.
Industry recognition
Cochran is a respected member of the industry, holding memberships in the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and the Television Academy. She also serves on the board of directors for the Producers Guild of America, further cementing her status as a leader in the field.
Celebrating success
The announcement of Cochran’s hiring comes as Jax Media celebrates its 14th Primetime Emmy win, this time for “David Letterman’s My Next Guest Needs No Introduction.” The company has also produced season 4 of the hit Netflix series “Emily in Paris”, along with new seasons of “Animal Control,” “The Conners,” and “Everyone Else Burns.” Additionally, Jax Media is working on Riz Ahmed’s upcoming series for Amazon.

Jax Media continues to have active productions for Netflix, Amazon, ABC, FOX, and Paramount across the U.S., Canada, and the U.K. With Cochran at the helm, the company is poised to further expand its reach and continue producing high-quality content that resonates with audiences worldwide.
