Kartik Aaryan Breaks Down the Excitement of ’Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3′
As the eagerly anticipated third instalment of the “Bhool Bhulaiyaa” franchise gears up for its Diwali release, superstar Kartik Aaryan offers an in-depth look at his character Rooh Baba and the enriching experience of working with legends like Vidya Balan and Madhuri Dixit.
The magnetic appeal of the franchise
What makes the Bhool Bhulaiyaa series a cornerstone in Bollywood’s horror-comedy genre? Kartik Aaryan attributes its unique allure to a blend of horror, comedy, and captivating music.
“Beyond its horror-comedy elements, BB delivers memorable scenes like Rooh Baba’s antics and Manjulika’s iconic dance,” Aaryan explains. “These have become essential parts of its charm.”
A musical cornerstone
Music has always been a significant part of Bhool Bhulaiyaa’s success. Collaborations with global artists like Pitbull and Indian powerhouses such as Diljit Dosanjh and Shreya Ghoshal have left an indelible mark on audiences.
In the upcoming film, Rooh Baba faces new challenges that delve into his background. Aaryan remarks, “His motivations are clearer now, adding depth to his character. And having two Manjulikas this time means double the trouble and double the fun.”
Two generations, one screen
The addition of Madhuri Dixit alongside the returning star Vidya Balan truly makes this film a treasure trove of talent. Kartik candidly shares his admiration for these icons:
“Working with Vidya ma’am and Madhuri ma’am is surreal. Vidya ma’am’s infectious laughter and Madhuri ma’am’s calming aura make every moment on set special.”
An industry milestone
As Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 readies for a Diwali release alongside Rohit Shetty’s cop universe film, “Singham Again”, Aaryan reflects on the market’s resilience.
“We’ve seen major box-office clashes before, and sometimes, both films succeed. If audiences love both, it’s a win for everyone involved.”
The film also brings Triptii Dimri in a pivotal role, adding another layer of intrigue to this star-studded instalment.
The evolution of horror-comedy in Bollywood
According to Kartik Aaryan, the horror-comedy genre in Indian cinema has evolved beyond traditional clichés. By combining these two elements, the genre appeals to broader audiences, turning movie-going into a family event.
“When horror meets comedy, it calls out to a larger audience—not just adults but entire families.”
As for the future of the franchise, Aaryan leaves it up to the viewers.
“The audience decides if there will be a fourth instalment. They are the ultimate bosses.”
