The adaptation is being developed by Amazon MGM Studios and will star Alan Ritchson, best known for his role in the action-packed series “Reacher.”

Published on September 24 by Random House, “Counting Miracles” quickly ascended to the top of the New York Times bestseller list, marking Sparks’ 20th book to achieve this honor. A powerhouse production team
Ritchson, who has a three-picture acting deal with Amazon MGM Studios, will not only star in the film but also produce it under his AllyCat Entertainment banner. He will be joined by Dan Spilo of Industry Entertainment, Denise Di Novi of Di Novi Pictures, and Theresa Park, Sparks’ longtime producing partner. Di Novi has a rich history of adapting Sparks’ novels, including “The Best of Me”, “The Lucky One”, “Nights in Rodanthe”, “A Walk to Remember”, and “Message in a Bottle”.
Both AllyCat Entertainment and Di Novi Pictures have first-look film deals with Amazon, ensuring a strong collaborative foundation for the project.
Alan Ritchson’s rising star
Ritchson’s career is on an upward trajectory. He is currently filming the Netflix action sci-fi film “War Machine” and will soon produce and star in Amazon’s Prime Video holiday family comedy “The Man With The Bag” alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger. Additionally, Ritchson will reprise his role as Aimes in the upcoming 11th installment of Universal Pictures’ “Fast and Furious” franchise.
