Jason Davis joins 5X Media: A new chapter in talent management
A strategic move in the entertainment industry
Jason Davis, the visionary founder of Australian talent firm Unbridled Management, has taken a significant step in his career by joining the Los Angeles-based management company 5X Media as a partner and manager. This move marks a new chapter in Davis’s journey, bringing his expertise and innovative approach to a broader stage.
From Unbridled Management to Afterpay
Before his current role at 5X Media, Davis sold Unbridled Management in 2018. He then joined the Australian financial service Afterpay, where he served as a key strategic digital creator and celebrity brand amplification adviser. His transition to 5X Media signifies a return to his roots in talent management, but with a renewed focus on global brand representation.
Embracing a borderless approach
“Jason embodies our approach to borderless talent and brand representation,” said 5X co-CEOs Alon Shtruzman and Gil Goldschein in a joint statement. “He has built his career around this concept and will serve as an important strategic player on our team as we continue to build our global business.”
Davis’s extensive experience and innovative mindset align perfectly with 5X Media’s vision. His role will encompass brands, digital, film, and television, both in the U.S. and internationally.
A star-studded clientele
Davis brings with him an impressive clientele list, including actor, model, and digital creator Presley Walker, known for his role in “Woodbridge”; actress Luna Sofia Miranda from “Anora”; and actress and digital creator Eliana Ghen, recognized for her performances in “Cobra Kai”, “Dopesick”, and “The Girl from Plainville”.
The future of talent management
“From the moment I met Alon, Gil, and [5X Executive Chairman Scott Einbinder], I knew they understood where the talent business is headed,” said Davis. “They all recognize changing dynamics across verticals have left creators in control of distribution standards for social channels, as well as traditional film and television storytelling platforms. All of them are now seeking out creative ways to cast, finance, promote, and amplify great voices and art.”
Leadership at 5X Media
Goldschein and Shtruzman both recently joined 5X as co-CEOs in April. Goldschein, previously CEO of Bunim/Murray, oversaw the development of iconic series like “Keeping Up with the Kardashians”, “Project Runway”, and “The Real World”. Shtruzman, a founding CEO at Keshet International, was instrumental in selling and producing series such as “Echo 3” for Apple+ TV, “A Small Light” for Nat Geo/Disney+, and “La Brea” for NBC.
A new era for 5X Media
With Davis’s addition to the team, 5X Media is poised to further its mission of innovative and borderless talent management. His expertise in digital creation and brand amplification will undoubtedly contribute to the company’s growth and success in the ever-evolving entertainment landscape.
