- Ed Kemper: Production on this film has just wrapped up, diving deep into the mind of one of the world’s most notorious serial killers. Ewald describes Kemper’s story as both disturbing and captivating.
- Dorothea: Centered around the infamous Dorothea Puente, production is set to begin this month. Puente’s crime spree involved the killing of her tenants and cashing their social security checks.
- The Devil’s Disciple: Focusing on Richard Ramirez, this film is still in development. Ramirez terrorized California in the mid-1980s, making his mark as a ruthless and feared serial killer.
- The Golden State Killer: This project will spotlight Joseph James DeAngelo, whose reign of terror in California from 1974 to 1986 included numerous murders and acts of brutality. It is also currently in development.

Donald Cerrone leads sci-fi action film ‘Winter: Battleground’
In addition to their true-crime collection, Epic Pictures revealed exciting news for fans of sci-fi and action. UFC legend Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone is set to star in Winter: Battleground, a thrilling sci-fi action film set in a post-apocalyptic world.
Directed by David Christopher Pitt, the movie is slated for release in early 2025. Cerrone will portray a battle-hardened warrior navigating an AI-controlled wasteland, leading a team against formidable and deadly forces.
With the film currently in post-production, Epic has teased audiences with exclusive footage and a trailer at the AFM. Producer Jeffrey Decker expressed immense excitement about the project, noting the unique blend of courage and camaraderie depicted in the dystopian setting.
