Kim Porter’s children refute memoir claims and call for respect
A family united against falsehoods
Kim Porter’s children have come forward to address recent rumors surrounding their late mother. Christian (King) Combs, twins D’Lila and Jessie Combs, and Quincy Brown have collectively denounced claims that Porter authored a memoir. This statement comes in the wake of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ recent arrest, which has reignited public interest in the family’s private matters.
Dispelling the memoir myth
The controversy began when a book titled KIM’S LOST WORDS: A Journey for Justice, From the Other Side was reportedly discovered on a hard drive and released by Los Angeles record producer Chris Todd under the pseudonym Jamal T. Millwood. The book’s release on September 6th has been met with skepticism and outright denial from Porter’s children.
In a heartfelt social media post, they stated, “Claims that our mom wrote a book are simply untrue. She did not, and anyone claiming to have a manuscript is misrepresenting themselves. Additionally, please understand that any so-called ‘friend’ speaking on behalf of our mom or her family is not a friend, nor do they have her best interests at heart.”
Addressing conspiracy theories
Quincy Brown also took to Instagram to demand an investigation into his mother’s 2018 death, suggesting that her knowledge of Diddy’s alleged sex trafficking activities might have led to her demise. However, the siblings have firmly rejected these allegations, emphasizing the established cause of their mother’s death.
“Our lives were shattered when we lost our mother,” they wrote. “She was our world, and nothing has been the same since she passed. While it has been incredibly difficult to reconcile how she could be taken from us too soon, the cause of her death has long been established. There was no foul play. Grief is a lifelong process, and we ask that everyone respect our request for peace as we continue to cope with her loss every day.”
Remembering Kim Porter
The children expressed their sorrow over the public spectacle that has surrounded their mother’s death. “We are deeply saddened that the world has made a spectacle of what has been the most tragic event of our lives. Our mother should be remembered for the beautiful, strong, kind, and loving woman she was. Her memory should not be tainted by horrific conspiracy theories,” they concluded.
Porter was found dead in her Toluca Lake, California home in 2018 after experiencing flu-like symptoms for several days. Initially, her cause of death was listed as “deferred,” but the coroner later confirmed it as lobar pneumonia.
A plea for peace
The statement from Porter’s children is a poignant reminder of the human cost behind public figures’ lives. They urge the public to respect their mother’s memory and allow her to rest in peace. “We ask that everyone please respect our mother, Kim Porter, and hold her legacy in high regard so that she may rest in peace. It’s what she deserves. We love you and miss you Mommy. Quincy, Christian, Jessie & D’Lila.”
