ESPN is set to launch an original series titled “The Fight Life,” which delves into the lives of five prominent Top Rank Boxing stars over the course of a year. This five-episode docuseries, premiering on October 7 on ESPN+, offers an intimate look at the journeys of boxing superstars Tyson Fury, Naoya Inoue, Seniesa Estrada, Teofimo Lopez, and Josh Taylor. Following its streaming debut, the series will also air on ESPN2.
Behind the scenes of boxing’s biggest names
Produced by ESPN in collaboration with Words + Pictures and Top Rank, “The Fight Life” promises to provide a comprehensive view of the boxing world. The series includes interviews with industry executives and documents the athletes’ rigorous preparations for their most significant career fights.
Lindsay Rovegno, vice president of production for ESPN Originals, emphasized the series’ appeal: “The Fight Life showcases all the traits that make boxing so compelling: rich personal stories of sacrifice and determination, pressure-packed stakes, and, of course, conflict. Whether you’re a diehard boxing fan or someone who just loves great characters and high-quality storytelling, this exciting new series features the unique perspectives of exceptional fighters that we’re excited to share with viewers.”
Episode breakdown: A closer look at each fighter’s journey
The series will release each episode daily from October 7 to October 11 on ESPN+. Additionally, the first episode will air on ESPN2 on October 9, with subsequent episodes on October 16 and October 22.
Episode 1: Tyson Fury’s quest for the crown
The inaugural episode follows Tyson Fury as he gears up for a monumental clash against Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk. This bout aims to crown the first undisputed heavyweight champion in 25 years.
