2025 Oscars Predictions:
Best Makeup and Hairstyling
“The Substance” Cannes Film Festival Weekly Commentary (Updated Nov. 14, 2024): One of the six Oscars that the first “Dune” did not go home with was for best makeup and hairstyling. Could the team finally get the recognition they deserve? Or could the incredible body horror elements of “The Substance” or vampiric transformations in “Nosferatu” excite voters? The pristine green makeup placed upon Cynthia Erivo in the musical “Wicked” is also worth considering.
More to come.
