“Queer Eye” star Jonathan Van Ness’ first comedy special, “Fun and Slutty,” will premiere on the streaming platform Veeps on Jan. 23.
Filmed before a live audience in Austin, the official description for the special says that Van Ness, who identifies as non-binary, sets out “to educate an unsuspecting audience on the definitions, shenanigans, and stigmas of slutty behavior.”
“The special leads us all through a sometimes shocking journey of political commentary alongside lighter serves of humor, from tradwife trends to Ye Olden Days of having to use Mapquest to find your dick appointment — all done with the fabulous hair flip, infectious laughter and beaming smile that is pure JVN,” reads the press release announcing the special.
In the debut trailer for the special, Van Ness says, “It’s these fucking Republicans – they’ve been trying to ban sex education for years. I’m going to bring it back. Yes! I am your professor, Jonathan Van Nasty. And I want you to think of this as basically a sex ed class for adults.”
Popular on Variety “Fun and Slutty” follows Van Ness’ worldwide comedy tours, “Jonathan Van Ness: Road to Beijing” and “Imaginary Living Room Olympian,” which sold out theaters in 40 cities in the U.S., Canada, United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand.
Veeps All Access subscribers can access “Fun and Slutty” for free as part of their subscription, while individual tickets for the livestream are available for $19.99. The special will premiere at 5 p.m. PT on Jan. 23 with a 7-day rewatch period.
