Marlon Wayans is set to guest star on the CBS comedy “Poppa’s House” alongside his brother Damon Wayans and his nephew Damon Wayans Jr.
The Wayans family has a long history of appearing in each other’s projects in addition to working on numerous films and television shows together. The role also reunites Marlon with “Poppa’s House” star Essence Atkins, who previously co-starred with him in the NBC sitcom “Marlon” for two seasons.
“Poppa’s House” debuted on CBS in October. Per the official series description, Damon Wayans stars in the multi-cam comedy as “legendary talk radio host and happily divorced Poppa who has his point of view challenged at work when a new female co-host (Atkins) is hired, and at home where he finds himself still parenting his adult son (Damon Wayans Jr,), a brilliant dreamer who is trying to pursue his passion while being a responsible father and husband.”
Marlon will play Melvin, Poppa’s brother, who is described as “a bit of a ne’er do well who comes to visit the family with a new business idea. Poppa is quick to warn everyone not to trust him, while Ivy (Atkins) and Junior want to believe he’s changed.” His episode will air in February 2025.

Marlon is also known for his roles in films like “White Chicks,” “Little Man,” and “Don’t Be a Menace.” He will also appear in the Justin Topping psychological sports thriller “Him,” due out in September 2025. He is currently on his “Wild Child” standup tour.

Tetona Jackson also stars in “Poppa’s House.” The show was picked up for a full season in November. Dean Lorey, Damon Wayans, and Damon Wayans Jr. executive produce. CBS Studios, where Wayans Jr. and his Two Shakes Entertainment banner are under a first-look deal, produces the series.
