Queen of Christmas Mariah Carey is coming to your TV screens on Dec. 25 via Netflix and the NFL.
Carey will star in the show open for NFL Christmas Gameday on the streamer, the same day Beyoncé will perform live during halftime of the Ravens-Texans game on Netflix.
Carey, whose holiday staple “All I Want for Christmas Is You” jumped to the No. 1 position on this week’s Billboard Hot 100 chart, is currently on her Christmas-themed music tour, which wraps on Tuesday. For the NFL show open, she will perform her festive hit as it celebrates its 30th anniversary. The song resurfaces on the Billboard charts every holiday season and has officially been certified 16x platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
Netflix is the global home of the NFL’s two Christmas Day games, including the Kansas City Chiefs against the Pittsburgh Steelers at 10 a.m. PT and the Baltimore Ravens versus the Houston Texans at 1:30 p.m. PT. The Christmas Day games will air on broadcast TV in the competing team cities and be available on U.S. mobile devices with NFL+.
Carey and Beyoncé’s upcoming performances come after Netflix took a mauling from users following a series of technical problems that dogged the Jake Paul-Mike Tyson fight, and many have questioned the company’s ability to stream live events at scale. Netflix also has at least one NFL Christmas Day game in 2025 and 2026, in what both parties hope will become a new holiday tradition.
