Netflix India is set to embark on an exciting journey with its first action-fantasy series, Rakt Bramhand – The Bloody Kingdom. This ambitious project marks another collaboration with the creative duo Raj & DK, following their recent success with the series Guns & Gulaabs.

The creative powerhouse behind the series

Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, known collectively as Raj & DK, have carved a niche for themselves in the Indian entertainment industry. Their innovative storytelling and unique cinematic vision have been showcased in films like 99, Shor in the City, and Go Goa Gone. They have also made a significant impact in the streaming world with popular series such as The Family Man and Farzi. In 2022, they entered into a multi-year creative partnership with Netflix, setting the stage for groundbreaking projects like Rakt Bramhand.

Collaborators and visionaries

Joining Raj & DK on this venture are director Rahi Anil Barve and writer Sita R. Menon, under the banner of D2R Films. Barve, who made a remarkable debut with the critically acclaimed Tumbbad in 2018, brings his expertise in visual storytelling and unique narrative approaches to the table. Tumbbad was celebrated for its period folk horror elements and had a stellar run at global film festivals, including Venice, Fantastic Fest, Busan, and the BFI London Film Festival.

Menon, a long-time collaborator of Raj & DK, has contributed significantly to their projects, including The Family Man series. Her involvement in Rakt Bramhand ensures a seamless blend of creativity and narrative depth.
