The legacy of Danis Tanović
Danis Tanović is no stranger to accolades. He won the best screenplay at Cannes for “No Man’s Land” in 2001, and the film went on to win the Oscar and the Golden Globe for the best foreign-language film in 2002. Tanović is also a two-time Silver Bear winner at the Berlin Film Festival for “An Episode in the Life of an Iron Picker” (2013) and “Death in Sarajevo” (2016). In 2014, he was awarded the Sarajevo Film Festival’s Honorary Heart, recognizing his outstanding contribution to film art and his support of the festival.

“My Late Summer” boasts an impressive cast, including Anja Matković, Uliks Fehmiu, Goran Navojec, Mario Knezović, Marija Škaričić, Mirela Brekalo, Snježana Sinovčić, Luka Juričić, Boris Ler, Ivana Roščić, and Jadranka Matković. The script was penned by Anja Matković, Nikola Kuprešanin, and Tanović himself. A collaborative effort
Produced by Propeler Film in Croatia, “My Late Summer” is a co-production involving Tangaj Production in Romania, Obala Art Centar in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Baš Čelik in Serbia, and Tramal Films in Slovenia. The film’s producers include Lana Matić, Boris T. Matić, Jelena Mitrović, Srdan Golubović, Mirsad Purivatra, Jovan Marjanović, Anamaria Antoci, Miha Černec, and Jožko Rutar. The project received support from various cultural and film institutions, including the Croatian Audiovisual Center, the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Sarajevo Canton, the Cinematography Foundation Sarajevo, the Romanian Film Center, the Film Center Serbia, the Slovenian Film Center, and the Creative Europe Media sub-program for project development, in co-production with BH Telecom.
