The Hollywood Reporter\u00a0has separately confirmed with a source. \tThe New York Times reports that a total of 10,168,008 people attended the concerts, which equated to a seat selling for about $204 on average. Swift\u2019s eight nights at Wembley Stadium drew 753,112 people. The biggest single night\u2019s attendance was Feb. 16, 2024, in Melbourne, Australia with 96,006. \t \tThe only other tour that has crossed the $1 billion mark is Coldplay\u2019s Music of the Spheres World Tour, a feat achieved after two and a half years of shows, according to Billboard. Meanwhile, Elton John\u2019s Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour brought in $939 million\u00a0on a tour that spanned five years before and after pandemic-related pause. \tThe Eras Tour, which took fans on a journey through Swift\u2019s 11 albums, marked her first since the pandemic. Prior to the pandemic, the singer was set for Lover Fest shows\u00a0following the release of her Lover album. However, despite being originally postponed, the shows were ultimately canceled due to the ongoing safety concerns. Swift went on to release two studio albums in 2020,\u00a0Folklore\u00a0\u2014 which became the first album to sell a million copies in 2020 \u2014 and\u00a0Evermore. She has since released albums Midnights and The Tortured Poets Department, in addition to continuing to rerecord her catalog. \tSwift\u2019s Eras Tour may have achieved a historic feat in ticket sales, but the shows have also led to other records and achievements for the superstar. \tLast year, the singer released concert film\u00a0Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour, which was one of the\u00a0biggest box office successes of 2023\u00a0and stands as the top-grossing concert documentary movie of all time, not adjusted for inflation.\u00a0Swift and her team self-financed the $15 million film that went on to gross $180.8 million domestically and $80.9 million overseas for a total of $261.1 million.
