\tRoc Nation and luxury publisher Assouline announced that the rap icon and entrepreneur will release The Book of HOV: A Tribute To JAY-Z on Wednesday, which is his 55th birthday. <\/p>\n
\tThe 432-page title highlights the Grammy and Emmy-winning star\u2019s illustrious career and comes a year after he was honored with the immersive exhibit The Book of HOV: A Tribute. It took place at the Brooklyn Public Library and was presented in chapters and included various photos of Jay-Z, from portraits to concert images to magazine and album covers.\u00a0 \t<\/p>\n
\t \t \t \t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t \t\t\t \tThe new book will be available in three editions, ranging from $120 to $2,000. It will include original recording masters, stage wear, interviews, videos, award and unseen photographs, as well as the guitar Jay-Z played at the Glastonbury Festival in 2008, where he became \u00a0the first hip-hop artist to headline famed event, to his Rock & Roll Hall of Fame trophy to Daniel Arsham\u2019s sculpture HOV Hands, the iconic gesture made famous by Jay-Z and seen at his concerts.<\/p>\n
\tA portion of the proceeds from the sale of the special limited edition will be donated to the Brooklyn Public Library. At the exhibit held last year, Jay-Z\u2019s lyrics were plastered on the Central Library Building of the library and on display were the Brooklyn Nets jersey he wore on the first night of his eight-show Barclays Center opener in 2012; various awards and honors, including an Emmy, Grammy, Peabody as well as his induction into and Songwriters Hall of Fame, where Jay-Z became the first rapper to enter; platinum plaques; the Carnegie Hall ticket when Jay-Z headlined the venue in 2012; a PCM digital tape of Jay-Z\u2019s debut single, 1995\u2019s \u201cIn My Lifetime\u201d; a Roc-A-Fella gold chain; and a Rocawear bomber jacket.<\/p>\n
