\tABC and Dick Clark Productions unveiled the Big Apple lineup for \u201cNew Year\u2019s Rockin\u2019 Eve,\u201d with Seacrest marking his 20th year as host alongside co-host Rita Ora. <\/p>\n
\tUnderwood \u2014 who won \u201cAmerican Idol\u201d in 2005 and currently serves as a judge on the show \u2014 will perform a medley of some of her biggest hits just before midnight. In addition, country singer Megan Moroney and British singer-songwriter Sophie Ellis-Bextor will be featured performers in NYC on \u201cNew Year\u2019s Rockin\u2019 Eve,\u201d while multihyphenate Dayanara Torres will return as co-host in Puerto Rico. \t<\/p>\n
\tUnderwood said in a statement, \u201cI have such fun memories of performing on \u2018New Year\u2019s Rockin\u2019 Eve\u2019 in Times Square in both 2007 and 2015, and I\u2019m so excited to perform just before the ball drops again this year. I\u2019m thrilled to celebrate 20 years since winning \u2018American Idol\u2019 by joining Ryan as he hosts his 20th New Year\u2019s Eve in Times Square.\u201d <\/p>\n
\t\t\t \t\t\tPopular on Variety\t\t \t \t\t \t \t\u201cDick Clark\u2019s New Year\u2019s Rockin\u2019 Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2024\u201d will air Tuesday, Dec. 31, live on ABC beginning at 8 p.m. ET and stream next day on Hulu.<\/p>\n
\tMoroney, winner of this year\u2019s CMA Awards new artist of the year, will perform a two-song medley from her second album, \u201cAm I Okay?\u201d, which debuted at No. 3 on Billboard\u2019s Top Country Albums chart and was her first Top 10 album on the Billboard 200 chart. Moroney spent much of 2024 on tour with Kenny Chesney across the U.S. <\/p>\n
\tEllis-Bextor will make her \u201cNew Year\u2019s Rockin\u2019 Eve\u201d debut with a performance of her platinum-certified hit \u201cMurder on the Dancefloor,\u201d which went viral this year more than two decades after its original release after the track was featured in Emerald Fennell\u2019s film \u201cSaltburn.\u201d<\/p>\n
\tAs previously announced, additional performers include rocker Lenny Kravitz, singer-songwriter Teddy Swims; R&B artist and dancer Tinashe; and country singers Cody Johnson and Thomas Rhett.<\/p>\n
\tLast year ABC and\u00a0Dick Clark Productions\u00a0extended their deal for the annual New Year\u2019s Eve show through Jan. 1, 2029. The Disney-owned network touts \u201cNew Year\u2019s Rockin\u2019 Eve\u201d as consistently ranking as the top-rated New Year\u2019s Eve programming special each year. Last year\u2019s show attracted 22.2 million total viewers as the clock hit midnight. \t<\/p>\n
