\tProduction has wrapped on the fifth and final season of Netflix\u2018s hit series, the streamer announced Friday. A release date for the finale hasn\u2019t been revealed yet, but Netflix has confirmed the show will be back in 2025.<\/p>\n

\tThe entire cast is back for Season 5: Winona Ryder\u00a0as\u00a0Joyce Byers, David Harbour\u00a0as\u00a0Jim Hopper, Millie Bobby Brown\u00a0as\u00a0Eleven, Finn Wolfhard\u00a0as\u00a0Mike Wheeler, Gaten Matarazzo\u00a0as\u00a0Dustin Henderson, Caleb McLaughlin\u00a0as\u00a0Lucas Sinclair, Noah Schnapp\u00a0as\u00a0Will Byers, Joe Keery\u00a0as\u00a0Steve Harrington, Sadie Sink\u00a0as\u00a0Max Mayfield, Natalia Dyer\u00a0as\u00a0Nancy Wheeler, Charlie Heaton\u00a0as\u00a0Jonathan Byers, Maya Hawke\u00a0as\u00a0Robin Buckley, Brett Gelman\u00a0as\u00a0Murray Bauman, Priah Ferguson\u00a0as\u00a0Erica Sinclair and Jamie Campbell Bower as Vecna. \u201cTerminator\u201d star Linda Hamilton is also joining the cast in a mysterious role. \t<\/p>\n
\tSeason 4 premiered back in summer 2022 in two parts, released separately in May and July. The episodes were supersized \u2014 all over 60 minutes, and the final episode of Part 2 was more than two hours long. It ended with an all-out battle against the evil Vecna and the Demogorgons in the Upside Down, where the beloved newcomer Eddie Munson (Joseph Quinn) sacrificed himself to save the gang. Vecna is weakened in the aftermath, but remains powerful enough to spread the Upside Down into Hawkins. Everyone in the main cast survives, but Max is left in a coma after Vecna controlled her body. <\/p>\n
