CMC Pictures<\/strong>, the \u200brenowned Chinese studio behind the successful “The Meg” franchise, is gearing \u200cup for the global release \u200cof \u200bits latest cryptography thriller, Decoded<\/strong>, starring John Cusack. The film is set \u2064to hit Chinese theaters this Saturday, \u2063with an international \u200drollout planned \u200bfor\u2062 the end of August.\u200b CMC Pictures will handle direct distribution in select territories and \u2064act as the sales agent for\u2062 others.<\/p>\n Directed \u200cby Chen\u200c Sicheng<\/strong>, one \u200dof China’s\u2063 most successful writer-director-producers, \u2063 Decoded<\/strong> boasts a \u2064screenplay co-written by Chen and Christopher MacBride, known for “Flashback” and “The Conspiracy.” The film is adapted from a novel by\u2064 Mai Jia, a Mao\u2064 Dun Literature Prize-winning author. \u2064This collaboration promises a \u200cgripping narrative that \u2062is \u200bsure \u200dto \u200ccaptivate audiences worldwide.<\/p>\n Set in the volatile 1940s, Decoded<\/strong> follows the journey of Rong Jinzhen<\/strong> \u200c (played by Liu Haoran),\u200d an autistic \u200dyoung \u200cman with an extraordinary \u200ctalent for mathematics.
